Berths

Berth management for marinas and harbours

Seasonal, permanent and visiting boats in one occupancy plan. You sublet free berths through your own website, and payment runs through Pier Standard.

All occupancy in one plan

Who lies where, until when, on which contract — that belongs in a plan, not in a spreadsheet somebody has to keep up to date. Seasonal, permanent and visiting boats sit side by side, and a free berth is visible as a free berth rather than something you have to work out.

  • Seasonal, permanent and visiting boats in one plan
  • Contracts at the berth, not in a filing cabinet
  • Free periods at a glance

Subletting through your own website

A berth whose owner is away cruising for six weeks stands empty for six weeks. Through Pier Standard you release it, and it appears on your own site — not on somebody else’s portal that takes the guest away from you.

  • Released by the harbour, not by the owner alone
  • The guest books on your site
  • A ten per cent share, and nothing else

Online booking for visiting boats

Visitors see free berths and prices and book for themselves before they cast off. What today takes three phone calls and a note becomes a case that is already in the system by the time the boat comes in.

  • Free berths and prices visible straight away
  • Payment by card, Apple Pay or Google Pay
  • The booking sits in the same system as everything else

Part of a system, not a standalone program

Berth management is one of two components. The other is the harbour ERP: workshop jobs, quotes, the customer portal, staff, inventory. Both work on the same customers and the same cases — that is the difference from a portal that only sublets berths.

Frequently asked questions

How is this different from berth-subletting portals?
They sublet berths, and that is all. In Pier Standard subletting is one module among many: occupancy and contracts, workshop jobs and materials, quotes, the customer portal, staff and invoicing are all tied to a single case.
Is Pier Standard already running in a real harbour?
Yes. Schiffswerft Laboe on the Kiel Fjord uses it day to day. Pier Standard was built together with them.
Do we have to start from scratch?
No. Your existing data is imported, so you start with your own berths, customers and contracts rather than an empty system. What that means for your operation is something we go through in the demo, using your own workflows.
